Pastor Gregg Hekimian grew up in Watertown MA and, as a child, attended the Armenian Apostolic Church. He would often ask himself, “How do I get to heaven?”. At age 25, after hearing the truth in the King James Version bible in the book of Acts 16:31 “And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thy house”, Pastor Gregg put his full faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour based on the Holy Word of God for his salvation
Several years later, he began working toward his doctorate in Theology through an online correspondence course. After being an active member and Deacon in other local churches, Pastor Gregg Hekimian decided to start his own congregation. He started the church in his home in Watertown, and then relocated it to Route 138 in Canton. Today, Believer's Baptist Church is located at 1749 Central Street in Stoughton.
Pastor Gregg does not take a salary from the church based on the Word of God, and considers himself a “bivocational pastor”—he is self-employed during the day for Hekimian Racing Engines as a physicist and engine builder.
Sharon Hekimian, Pastor’s wife, helps set up for services and prepares for food fellowships after the services. His daughter, Emily plays old -fashioned hymns on the piano, and his son Josh helped set up the church’s website.
Services are held every Sunday at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Wednesday evening at 8 p.m.. There is also a service at the Victoria Haven Nursing Home in Norwood every Sunday at 2 p.m.
